As many of you know, there are a few weapons in the game of Destiny that are exclusive to your Guardians’ Class. They can be acquired by Ranking up in Reputation with the GunSmith. I believe Rank 5 begins the Quest for each Class’s weapon. How useful are they? Well, you can be the judge of that. I will start with my least favorite.
Ace of Spades | Hunter Class
Main Perk: Firefly – Precision kills with this weapon cause the target to explode
Secondary: Maverick – Precision kills move one round from ammo reserves into the magazine
Since I am not thrilled with Hand Cannons, in general, the Ace of Spades is of little use to me. Only playing PvE doesn’t help. It does have a large magazine (for a Hand Cannon) at 10 shots. Combined with the Marverick perk, it decreases how quickly you need to reload.
I always enjoy exploding targets on precision kills. Decent Range. High Impact, to be expected, 81/100. There are no Stat Numbers in-game last I checked. You have to visit the Armory on Bungie.net. From Rate of Fire to Reload, it’s based on a zero to 100 scale.
Do any of you use the Ace of Spaces? What’s your verdict? Next up…
Fabian Strategy | Titan Class
Main Perk: Life Support – Kills with this weapon while critically wounded have a chance to start regenerating health.
Secondary Perk: Front Lines – This weapon has increased handling, stability, and rate of fire when enemies are close.
This weapon is decent. I’ve heard some people love it. It’s great against Taken because of the Secondary Perk. Often times, they surround you. It makes quick work of them. The Impact is extremely low, 8 out of 100. It’s no Suros Regime, but it can can hold its own.
The Hakke brand is, again, decent. I like their shotguns better than their Auto Rifles, though.
TLALOC | Warlock Class
Main Perk: This weapon becomes more accurate as your health gets lower.
Secondary Perk: Overflow – This weapon has better handling, rate of fire, and stability while the wielder’s Super is full.
Scout Rifles are my favorite weapon type. I like this weapon. I love this weapon when my Super is full. 20 shots per magazine is high for a Scout Rifle. Very balanced across all its Stats. Plus, I like most of the weapons by Omolon, even the Hand Cannons are decent.
There is a noticeable difference between when your Super is and is not full. It annoyed me, at first, because using a Warlock’s Super is the best part of playing this Class. However, I adjusted to it over time. Feels a bit heavy for a Scout Rifle, but it’s a good weapon.
Take care, Guardians.
